Dear Outgoing Officers,
Summer is here, and so is the time for transition in PTA. For some PTA leaders, this means your term as an officer has ended. Thank you for your dedication, commitment and time spent improving the lives of all children and families in your community and across the state. We appreciate you!
As you transition, make sure the vital work of your PTA continues by making sure your successor has the the resources and support to be successful. Share your information, materials and best practices with them,
and remember how you felt a year ago when you started. Volunteer leaders like you are essential to developing new leaders who have kept PTA going strong for more than 120 years. If you receive any PTA mailings or emails in the coming weeks, please be sure to forward them to the person who will be in the position you’ve held this past
year.Even if your child is promoting or graduating and you won’t have a child at a PTA school anymore, you can still join and be a PTA member! Visit www.capta.org/join to sign up again. Your continuing membership gives PTA a stronger voice for all children and all families.Thank you for believing in children and believing in PTA and supporting the PTA mission: to positively impact the lives of children and families.
I believe in you,
California State PTA President
