Scholarships and grants help your PTA shine!

Did you know California State PTA offers several scholarships and grants? It’s true – and they’re all to help you and your PTA make a difference!

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR PROFESSIONALS AND VOLUNTEERS

To help you continue on your educational path, the California State PTA is proud to offer several scholarship programs for school professionals and volunteers:

  • For nurses – Registered Nurses are eligible to apply for the $500 Continuing Education Scholarship for School Nurses.
  • For teachers and counselors – Credentialed teachers and counselors who have a minimum of three years’ experience in a California public school are eligible to apply for the $500 Continuing Education Scholarship for Credentialed Classroom Teachers and Counselors.
  • For volunteers – PTA volunteers with at least three years of service are eligible to apply for the $500 Continuing Education Scholarship. Your scholarship must be used for advanced studies at accredited California colleges, universities, trade and technical schools.

GRANTS HELP YOUR PTA ACHIEVE

Is your PTA researching a new outreach program, or perhaps expanding on current success? Then apply for the California State PTA’s Program Grants. Available to unit, council and district PTAs in good standing, these unique annual grants are geared to address four initiatives of major interest to our children, schools and members:

  • Parent Education Grants — Develop and implement parent education programs and projects in such areas as health, child development, child abuse prevention or parenting skills.
  • Cultural Arts Grants — Develop and implement student-centered cultural arts programs which complement the California State PTA’s commitment to a quality arts education.
  • Outreach Translation Grants — Translate PTA written materials and oral presentations in an effort to involve every member of the school community.
  • Healthy Lifestyle Grants — Develop, promote and implement programs, projects and activities that will improve the overall health of children and adults.
