SPOTLIGHT ON REFLECTIONS 2014-2015

DATE: Thursday, September 18, 2014

TIME: 10:00 am – 12 Noon

PLACE: Auditorium, Tenth District PTSA

1000 Venice Boulevard

(near downtown, between Hoover and Figueroa)

THEME: “The world would be a better place…”

Join us on September 18th, as we explore the essence of Reflections.

  • How to plan, promote and implement Reflections at your school.
  • Hear about other successful programs.
  • Ask questions and/or share ideas.

Reflections is National PTA’s arts recognition and achievement program for students in grades PreK-12 to explore their creativity in literature, music composition, visual arts, photography, dance choreography, film production. We encourage your participation in this workshop to learn how to make this wonderful program thrive at your school.

Rules: All California State PTA rules apply to Tenth District entries.

 

Grade Divisions:

Primary Grades PreK – 2

Intermediate Grades 3 – 5

Middle/Junior Grades 6 – 9

Senior Grades 9 – 12

Special Artist All grades welcome

 

Each local PTA/PTSA may submit up to five (5) entries in the Primary, Intermediate, Special Artist divisions and up to eight (8) entries in the Middle/Junior and Senior divisions for each art category.

District Due Date: January 5, 2015

To complete the “initial” Charitable Trust (CT) Form, bring the following documents and information:

(1) Copy of your current bylaws signed by your secretary. If you need a copy or need to purchase bylaws (there is a $1.00 district fee.) If your bylaws are 4+ years old you need to update them TODAY!
(2) $25.00 initial fee payable to: Department of Justice
(3) Roster of your 2012/2013 officers. (If we do not have one)
(4) PLEASE RSVP, so that we at Tenth District can do our part to have your pre-filled Charitable Trust (CT) Forms ready.

This is a free, hands-on workshop to complete the State of California Attorney General’s required Charitable Trust form, which is due by December 7, 2012.

PTA Treasurers and/or Presidents must attend.  You will need to bring a copy of your unit’s current Bylaws, $25.00 check payable to the Department of Justice, and a Roster of your 2012-2013 Officers (if not yet submitted).
